The flavor is smooth and rich. There is never an acidic or over-roasted flavor. I like my coffee with milk, but even friends who drink it black find this coffee delicious and smooth.

I was so dissapointed in this coffee. Purchased it for Christmas Eve with high hopes, none of us cared for it. Seriously overpriced for the quality.

I too finally decided to treat myself and find out what all the hype was about...only to discover it truly was only hype. It's not terrible, but it's certainly not great either.

But worth it since it is not picked by machines and done one bean at a time. Old soils that give off a solid rounded flavor not
found in all beans except the best.. If coffee is your passion you will love this very limited experience. Few can afford it but it is truly desert in itself and AARP says coffee is dang good for you so you might as well enjoy some soon. if you can find it. Make sure it is 100% and not a blend. That is almost like a waste of the coin you pay when you cannot even taste it. That is a gimmick=blends.

I bought this one a while back when it was on sale. It is my favorite Gevalia Coffee so far. I don't even know if you're supposed to put it in the same sentence, but it is Bold and Smooth at the same time. Unique and tasteful. When I catch it on sale I'm going to stock up.

I took advantage of the recent 1/2 price sale on the regular whole bean Kona and I have to say this is the best coffee I have ever tasted. I.m drinking it right now "adulterated" with Half & Half. The next time I'm going to try it black as I'm certain it will be excellent that way too. Thanks Gevalia!

This has become my favorite coffee bean. I have had the chance to drink coffee in different countries where it's produced, but the Kona bean beats everything else by far. Enjoy!

I love this coffee, I've been drinking it as long as I can remember I believe since I first heard/saw an advertisement for it. When my brother visits he will only drink Gevalia and calls me in enough time to let me know he's coming over and for me to fix him a pot.

Truly about the most perfect coffee on earth. I love it! The flavor is perfectly balanced. Kona is bold and totally satisfying alone, but can still be enjoyed with food. I highly recommend it!

This is the best coffee, I wish I could afford to only drink this coffee, but I will buy it when I can. It is bold yet oh sooo smooth. Love it!

typically i drink dark roast and espresso roast all day. i bought this on sale to try it. i must say it is my favorite coffee now, the flavor is wonderful and my wife loves it also she will drink it with me now since its a medium roast. i like mine dark and strong but i will buy this again and again because it is so good and even better than the pricier jamaican blue mountain that i thought was decent but not on the kona level! and i only brew in a french press!

I've been a coffee drinker for years (won't say how many, but it's a LOT) and have sampled many kinds. I honeymooned on Maui, got my first taste of Kona at a ritzy hotel there and then (2000), and have not found a better tasting coffee since (don't really want or need to). Yes, Gevalia's Kona seems a bit pricier than others ... but this is true only until you try it. The extra expense will be for the "true and correct" original, and *it will be worth it*. There are many coffees labelled "Kona" which are priced much less than Gevalia's (and I've tried many of them). However, I have not found a more uniquely delicious and satisfying cup than what I get here. Every cup of this Kona takes me right back to Maui, where I caught the java bug ... permanently. I'm an engineer/analyst. A good one, I think. This is not paid marketing in any way.

I get tired of the junk people try to say is great coffee. However, I never refuse a cup of this coffee. It is the best coffee sold. This is the standard by which I compare any other coffee.

Excellent coffee, Good price for Kona though but... just out of *my* price range :-( to get on a regular basis. But if you can afford it, it is really good Kona, and a reasonable fair price!

SPECIAL OCCASION COFFEE

I started drinking Gevalia Kona coffee when I received a gift bag (3 lb.) at Christmas -- and enjoyed it so much I began drinking it on a regular basis. It was several years ago when I was first introduced to Gevalia Kona; and it never lost that "magic taste" like some specialty coffee can. I got excited when I saw this advertisement, and would love to have a cup right now.

I have been a coffee drinker for over 20 years, and I do like a good cup of coffee. Kona coffee is so smooth that it tastes great, and it doesn't leave an acidic feeling in your stomach. My husband has never been a coffee drinker, but he will always drink Kona! I must admit, I introduced him to it so I could have an excuse for the higher cost. It's worth every penny!!

This is a coffee we buy only occasionally due to its cost. But, it is probably the best coffee we have ever tasted. If you want to treat yourself to a full bodied, rich, nutty coffee with no bitterness, I highly recommend this coffee.
