I've been drinking Gevalia coffee for over 10 years now and absolutely love their coffee and the convenience of automatic shipments. My preference is medium to dark coffee, so I like trying those varieties. After all this time, Stockholm Roast remains as my very favorite Gevalia coffee because it is strong and aromatic, but not the least bit bitter. I like my coffee best with half & half, no sugar. I like my tea best with a spoonful of raw sugar, no cream. Go figure!

I originally ordered a couple bags of Gevalia Whole Bean coffee because my boyfriend complains about the blandness of grocery store whole bean brands. They are good, but not half as good as Gevalia. The Stockholm roast caught us off guard when we saw the beans. They are lighter than most we've seen, but once ground and brewed, the body, aroma, and taste of this coffee is the best I've had. My boyfriend said it is very similar to what his cousins and uncles drink back in Sweden. We drink it black, so I am not sure about how it tastes with cream and sugar, but I can imagine that it is just as excellent!

This is my favorite coffee EVER !! My sister just came to visit and I now have her hooked on it too. It has the best flavor and aroma, and I never get tired of drinking it!

This is my all-time favorite Gevalia coffee. I dont' care for the dark roasts and the light roasts don't have enough flavor. This roast is exactly right for my taste. I feel better in the morning just SMELLING this brewing at home, at work and on my boat.

This particular flavor is wonderful. While waiting for this one to arrive, I purchased another medium roast at the store. No comparison! Love the rich smooth taste...with sugar and cream...it is almost like a dessert break! Thank you!

I've tried and tried to appreciate different Gevalia coffees based on brand and ease of ordering.
Good enough to drink, but no where near the aroma and flavor of a fresh local roaster. The coffee oils/flavor just break down in the bag after a few days and that is that.
Allow at least 2 weeks if sending as a gift.

Considering it is marketed as Medium Roast it shouldn't taste like Dark Roast.

This is very similar to the traditional roast, except maybe even a bit sweeter. I love the taste that lingers on my tongue.

For the price, this coffee is great. It has enough acidity to be lively but enough smoothness to delight. I tried it as a spur of the moment purchase and am so glad I did.

I have a very sensitive nose and palate. Many coffees smell like an ashtray to me. I know - gross...but, it's true. This coffee smells wonderful and tastes the same. I use a little turbinado sugar, small spoonful of light agave, and some creamer. Heavenly!!

Not sure about other causes, but I do know that older coffee smells that way. If ground coffee is not used within a few weeks of opening and exposing it to air, it starts smelling like an ashtray. Fresh is very important and airtight containers a must!

After reading some of the reviews I figured I had aught to try it out. It is a middle of the road coffee at best. Not bad, but not good enough to buy again. Flavor is weak, better than tea of course (humor) but about a flavorful too. It just needs to be more what the name would or should imply. You know, If you tripple the amount of coffee used, it just might get some flavor going for it.

We have been drinking Stockholm Roast as our home standard for well over 10 years. We brew it at "European strength", according to Gevalia instructions. Our friends and relatives always remark that our chosen strength is stronger than they are used to, but that the taste is very good. We like the bold taste that stops short of the typical bitter or burnt taste of dark roasts. Highly recommended.

I drink one or 2 cups a day and Stockholm Roast is my default coffee. I love the aroma and body of this coffee. It is an intregal part of my mornings. Your Antigua coffee comes in a close second, but if I had to choose only 1 to drink forever it would be the Stockholm Roast.

I have tried a few of the other's. I like the Kenya and the Columbian but I will always drink this and it will be my favorite!
